Volunteering

There are lots of other ways that you can help keep the Excellence Series alive and well, while enjoying the company of others of the same mindset. These include:

– Intro Teams – Be part of a twice-monthly Introductory Session for the Pursuit of Excellence, greeting guests and graduates, answering questions, and registering people for the Pursuit. A fun way to get re-grounded in the Pursuit with only the commitment of one night. Prerequisites to be on a team include successful completion of the Pursuit of Excellence and enrolling one person in the Excellence Series. Business or business-casual dress are appreciated, and Intro Team Members usually are needed from 6 to 9 PM.

– Registration Teams – Contribute to the excited energy at the beginning of a program. Greet participants, work with our sales team to ensure paperwork has been received. Prerequisites to be part of a Reg Team are completion of the program in question. Business or business-casual dress are appreciated, and Reg Team Members usually are needed for about 2 hours total.

– Business Skills and Services – The Excellence Foundation is run mainly by professionals donating their time, in everything from web page design to accounting to legal counsel. If you have skills that could be put to use in a non-profit business, from graphic design to insurance, or resources that you could donate – from storage space to printing, from office supplies to cell phones – we can always make use of them.

Volunteers are the mainstay of our organization. We seek to match our volunteers with opportunities that are fun and fit with your interests. Examples of such opportunities: work on one of many committees (fund raising, PR/Marketing, events, alumni relations, operations). Let us know where you would like to volunteers, get signed up and begin a short time later – having fun, expanding your network, contributing to the organization. Contact info@excellencefoundation.org for information, or call the office 206.686.4550.

The following positions remain open and need to be filled: Managers of operations , graduate relations and marketing. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these roles, then please review the additional information listed below:

– Operations Manager Job Description
– Graduate Manager Job Description
– Marketing Manager Job Description

Assisting

Assisting means being part of the team that helps the Program Leader run a Pursuit of Excellence, Wall or Advancement, either working directly with participants or helping with logistics. It’s an amazing place to learn more, be of service to others, and experience great teamwork. Assisting a program means committing to be at each day of the program, before and after the participants, as well as a one-night grounding before the program begins, and a one-night completion evening/Introductory Session after the program ends. It’s an intense but fun experience, and very rewarding.

Those wishing to assist must meet the following requirements:

– Complete the Excellence Series (Pursuit, Wall and Advancement)
– Enroll at least one person in the Excellence Series
– Attend an Assisting Workshop

Interested? E-mail or call us, info@excellencefoundation.org
206.686.4550.

As of May 13, 2006, we need assistants for the following programs:

The Pursuit of Excellence starts June 22, 2006
(with Dan Sullivan at Kirkland Holistic Center):
=> Team Captain, Logistics, and Team Assistants
( e-mail info@excellencefoundation.org )

The WALL (Residential!) starts July 26, 2006

Dear Graduates,

To borrow a line from John Denver (and change the pronouns)…”We have to say it now, it’s been a good life all in all; it’s been fine to have the chance to hang around…”

In 1999 a group of dedicated visionaries banded together to form the Excellence Foundation and, since then, so many of you have volunteered your time, energy, money and countless other resources to introduce people to the gift that is the Excellence Series.

Consider auditing this program. This is a fabulous opportunity to sharpen your life skills. Your energy will add to the entire program! The audit tuition for The Pursuit of Excellence is only $99.

The last Pursuit of Excellence will start on June 22nd. [click for more ...].

The last Wall will start on July 26th. [click for more ...].

The Mastery class will start on August 23rd. [click for more ...].

For those of you unfamiliar with Mastery, the purpose, objectives, and some testimonials from graduates along with registration information can be found by clicking on the above link.

So, graduates, thank you many times over for your participation and support over the years. And thank you, in advance, for helping us complete our work with huge enrollments and unfaltering goodwill. Let’s really celebrate the difference we’ve made in not only our own lives but the lives of all those we’ve touched.

Love,

The attitudes and abilities which support a person to take each step in life with excellence are the same as those which distinguish people who are experiencing success and fulfillment in their lives.

The Excellence Series is an in-depth exploration of these essential elements of success, with emphasis on the ways in which participants can build upon the abilities and strength they already possess:

Vision
Forming and holding a vision of what success looks and feels like is essential to personal fulfillment.

Goals
Establishing goals, achieving them and then setting new ones is a hallmark of success.

Choice
Recognizing choices builds strength and confidence.

Accountability
Being in charge of the quality and direction of one’s life means living without blame.

Leadership
Maximum effectiveness through identifying and understanding the different leadership styles.

Trust
Those who know and trust themselves inspire trust and confidence in others.

Win/Win
Creating agreements in which everyone wins supports short- and long-term success.

Laughter
Developing humor, especially with regard to oneself, is both healthy and empowering.

Listening
Communication is enhanced by expanding sensitivity to hear what is being said, as well listening between the lines.

Conflict Resolution
Address the issues and unspoken grievances that create resentment and distance. Resolve conflict and disagreements from a win/win perspective.
